Calling all Speech-Language Pathologists!

For those that don’t already know us, A Future Manifest is a tech-startup dedicated to supporting individuals and families living with chronic degenerative conditions – building tools that genuinely improve quality of life.

We’re first focusing on vocal-health because of how central it is to communication, independence, and everyday well-being, especially for people facing neurological or age-related challenges. We believe it’s an area where thoughtful use of technology can make a meaningful difference.

Right now, we’re developing a web-based application that runs in browsers and on tablets, with the goal of modernizing parts of the speech-language pathology clinical experience. The focus is on supporting existing therapeutic modalities by making workflows more efficient, practice more engaging, and continuity of care easier to maintain in both clinical and home settings.

This work is personal for us. Through our own experience supporting a family member with Parkinson’s disease, and through conversations with the speech-language pathologists involved in that care, we became acutely aware of how many modern technologies are underutilized in everyday practice. We saw how much time clinicians spend on documentation and manual data entry, work that often pulls them away from direct patient care. At the same time, we saw real opportunities to better support patients between sessions by extending meaningful guidance and feedback beyond the clinic, and by giving clinicians better visibility into progress over time.

We have launched an informal initiative, the VoxFutura Collective, as a means of approaching this collaboratively. We’re fortunate to already have a small group of speech-language pathologists actively supporting this early discovery phase by sharing their perspectives, identifying real-world needs, and helping shape what would actually be useful across different specialties and care settings. We’re now looking to broaden that group to include a wider range of voices and experiences, so the foundation we’re building reflects the diversity of the field.

If this resonates with you, we’d love for you to share your perspective by completing our initial survey. The survey is exploratory and clinician-focused, designed to gather real-world perspectives and typically takes about 15–20 minutes to complete.

If you know other speech-language pathologists who might be interested in this kind of collaboration, please share this with them directly, on social media, or within professional forums. A broader range of perspectives will only strengthen the work ahead.
